What's in a Name?

Some famous names in the education reform arena:
  • Reed Hastings - founder of Netflix, education philanthropist, charter schools champion
  • Kaya Henderson - new Chancellor of Washington D.C. public schools. Hailed as a champion for innovation and continued improvement in D.C. schools.
  • Lisa Graham Keegan - former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction and founder of Education Breakthrough, which promotes and informs about school choice.
  • Joel Klein - former Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education and chair of Education Reform Now (whose website is fairly dated at this writing)
  • Michelle Rhee - ex-Chancellor of Washington D.C. public schools. Had to leave amidst allegations of cheating and fraud. Started studentsfirst.org.
  • Carl Zaragoza - Creighton Elementary School District Governing Board Member and Advocacy Director for Stand for Children - Arizona.
